Another top choice why we absolutely think Webflow is the bee’s knees when it comes to CMS’s is its “Edit Mode” feature. We totally understand that our dear clients want to be able to make changes easily on their own, so this feature is the perfect solution for that. With this feature, you can effortlessly edit texts and images without having to worry about the site’s layout. We don’t want you to worry about accidentally ruining your site’s design, and just perform small edits when you need to. With other website builders, simple edits can cause layout issues, but not with Webflow! It makes sure that the design remains intact during the editing process. 

Why not other web builders?

While Webflow offers numerous advantages, it's important to consider the drawbacks of other website builders for a fair comparison. Here are some cons associated with popular website builders:

Wix

• Limited Design Flexibility: While Wix offers a range of templates, the customisation options are more limited compared to Webflow. Users may encounter constraints when trying to achieve unique or complex designs.
• SEO Limitations: Wix has made improvements in its SEO capabilities, but it still falls short compared to platforms like Webflow. Users have less control over crucial SEO elements, which can impact search engine rankings.

Squarespace

• Code Limitations: Squarespace emphasises a user-friendly interface, but this comes at the expense of code-level control. Developers may find it restrictive when attempting advanced customisations or integrating complex functionalities.

It may not be suitable for businesses that require extensive online store management features.
• Learning Curve for Customization: Showit's interface is intuitive for designing visually appealing websites, but it may have a steeper learning curve when it comes to advanced customizations. Users may need to rely on third-party integrations or coding knowledge for more complex design and functionality modifications.
• Expensive for what it offers: while the pricing is similar to Webflow it doesn't offer anywhere near enough of the abilities.

WordPress

• Complexity for Beginners: WordPress is a powerful platform with extensive customisation options, but it can be daunting for beginners without coding or web development experience. Setting up and maintaining a WordPress site may require a steeper learning curve.
• Plugin Compatibility: WordPress relies heavily on plugins to extend its functionality. However, compatibility issues between plugins or between plugins and WordPress updates can arise, potentially affecting site performance or security.

Weebly

• Limited Code-Level Access: Weebly provides a user-friendly interface, but it lacks the ability to access or modify the underlying code. This can be restrictive for users who prefer more control over the website's design or functionality.
• Integration Limitations: While Weebly offers a decent range of integrations and add-ons, it may not have the same extensive ecosystem as platforms like WordPress or Shopify, limiting the available third-party options.
