Where Seaside Explorers was when I first spoke with them.

Seaside Explorers is a warm, genuinely lovely early learning centre in Yamba, run by Candis and her team with real care for the children and families in their community. The centre itself was never the problem. The problem was that none of that warmth or quality came through the moment a parent landed on their website.
In their own words, the site was really hard to use, parents could not find what they needed, and they were not showing up properly on Google. The navigation was confusing, the important things a parent actually looks for, fees, programs, philosophy, how to enrol, were buried, the visuals were dated, and the whole thing was hard for the team to update themselves. Their brand no longer reflected who they were becoming.
That matters enormously for a childcare centre, because choosing care for your baby is one of the highest-trust decisions a parent ever makes, and they are almost always making it on their phone at night. Candis wanted a site parents could actually navigate, one that looked professional and trustworthy, showed off the programs and philosophy clearly, and made enquiring and booking a tour simple. She also wanted to finally be found by the families searching for care in Yamba.
What the Authority by Design process found.
The gap was between how caring and capable Seaside Explorers actually is, and how confusing and forgettable it felt online. A parent could not quickly answer the three questions every parent has: is this place warm and safe, does it run a program that suits my child, and how do I get in. If the website could not answer those in seconds, on a phone, the centre was losing families before it ever met them. That is exactly what the Authority by Design process is built to fix.
So I rebuilt the brand around warmth, trust and child-centred care, with a logo and colour refresh that finally looks like the centre feels. Then I designed a mobile-first Webflow website with genuinely clean navigation, so a parent can find fees, programs, philosophy and contact details in a couple of taps. I built a clear enrolment pathway and tour enquiry flow, structured program pages for infants through to preschool, and a Meet Candis page so families connect with the person behind the centre before they ever walk in.
Underneath the design, I built the SEO foundations the old site never had: technical setup, on-page optimisation and metadata targeting the local searches that matter, plus a tidied Google Business Profile. I moved them onto a platform the team can edit themselves and trained them to do it, so the site keeps working without me. The brand, the website and the search visibility were all one job: make the right families find Seaside Explorers, trust it, and enquire.

What changed.

A centre that was not showing up properly on Google now gets close to half of its website traffic straight from organic search. In the most recent quarter, organic search brought 302 of 613 sessions, just over 49 percent, and those searchers are the most engaged visitors on the site, with a 59 percent engagement rate, well above the site average. Seaside Explorers is now visible for the local terms that matter, including Yamba childcare, Yamba early learning centre and Yamba preschool, and ranks number one for its own name.
Over the past year the site has earned 184 clicks from 805 search impressions at a 22.9 percent click-through rate, which is exceptionally high and tells us the listing is compelling when it appears. More importantly, parents are doing what the site was built to make easy. The homepage pulled 444 views, the contact page 83, and the site tracked 36 enquiry form starts from families beginning the conversation about a place for their child.
The bigger shift is trust. Seaside Explorers now has a brand and a website that match the quality of care inside the centre, that parents can actually use on their phones, and that the team can update themselves. It quietly does the work of being found, building trust and turning curious parents into enquiries, so Candis and her team can focus on the children instead of wrestling with a website that was working against them.
"Hayley was great, very prompt, and professional, always giving me confidence in the process. Before working with WQ Creative, I didn't have a logo, brand kit, or website, so I needed their help so much. My website has not only been [a great resource] for families, but we have also hired new educators because our website is so beautiful and reflects our business so much. The extras you provided that I didn't know I needed, like the brand kit, I have used so much. Your content creation for our initial business growth was amazing. Yes, for sure, I would recommend WQ Creative to other businesses!"
